Where it is
Hagersville is about 15 km southwest of Caledonia and about 24 km northeast of Port Dover. It is one of the five population centres of Haldimand County, along with Caledonia, Cayuga, Dunnville and Jarvis.
Schools and local attractions
Hagersville has its own elementary school and Hagersville Secondary School. The Haldimand Memorial Arboretum is a local green space.
Public English schools in the area are run by the Grand Erie District School Board, and Catholic English schools by the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board. French-language boards also serve the area.
School assignments depend on your exact address and can change. Always confirm the assigned schools for a specific property with the school board before you make an offer.
Getting around
Highway 6 runs north and south through Haldimand County, linking it with Hamilton and the 400-series highway network, and Highway 3 runs east and west. The County's community profile notes that Highway 403 is within about a 15 minute drive of the northern tip of the county. Hagersville is farther south, so test the drive to your workplace before you buy. See the Commuter Guide for the options from the Brantford area.
Who tends to look here
Buyers who want a small, quieter town and a lower-density setting, with Hamilton, Brantford and the lake all within reach. For current prices and listings across the county, see Jake's Haldimand County page.
