    The river and the trails

Holmedale runs along the Grand River. Holmedale Park appears on the City's parks map, and local neighbourhood guides point to the SC Johnson Trail, Waterworks Park and the Rotary Bike Park as nearby outdoor spots.

Across the city, Brantford has more than 70 km of trails in town and along the Grand River, and they form part of the Trans Canada Trail.

    The homes

The City describes the Dufferin Avenue and Lorne Crescent area as home to some of the largest and most stately homes in Brantford, built in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The City has also looked at that area for a possible heritage conservation district.

Holmedale is not only grand homes. Recent listings have ranged from an 1895 brick century home to bungalows and 1.5-storey houses, so the price range is wide. Century homes can offer character features and also extra maintenance, so plan on a thorough inspection.

    Schools

École Dufferin is a school close to Holmedale Park and Holme Street, according to local listings. For high school, listing sites show Brantford Collegiate Institute and Vocational School (BCI) as the assigned school for some Holmedale addresses.

School assignments depend on your exact address and can change. Always confirm the assigned schools for a specific property with the school board before you make an offer.
